USABILITY SCORES

During your appointment, and throughout the consultation I will be assessing the overall health of your horses hooves.

To help with providing a measurable scale of improvement there are a number of vital structures within the hoof which are given a score out of 10 to reflect the level of use that structure can sustain at that specific moment in time. These scores are then divided down to score each individual hoof and an average given to the overall health of your horses hooves.

This hoof health score may be adjusted to give the final usability score (for example, one or two weaker structures can pull down the average score, yet if the remaining structures are strong and healthy then the horse may be well capable of doing more than the score would suggest) - If the score is adjusted, then I will explain the reasons why.
