10.08.19 - Today I received an invite to join the Equine Podiatry Associations Facebook page, which gave me my first clue as to the identity of my fellow students plus the chance to ask questions of those already fully qualified and the previous yr1 and yr2 students. Everyone is so friendly and in no time at all I really felt a part of something and thoroughly welcome.
Nine of us in total have been accepted onto the 2019 course, all female but varying ages and all different backgrounds and walks of life.
I will be completing my training around my full time job as a Tender Coordinator/Bid Manager. It will be hard work to fit everything in, but as the topic is something I enjoy learning about, it isn't a chore to fit it in but more of an enjoyable challenge. I'll be putting in time in the mornings, weekends and during my lunch break in the week.
This first home study coursework is on Business Plans. Its really interesting to see exactly what costs are involved, what can be claimed back, how and why, plus the work that's involved in setting up a business. Its made me even more determined to succeed and realise my dreams one day.
